This tiny nick in the wire was causing an intermittent fault tripping the lights sporadically throughout the years in an Edinburgh tenement stairwell. We cut and spliced the neutral wire and solved the issue. This was caused by the heat from the internal ballast melting the wires and a similar thing was happening to the live and earth too. Problem solved. We are experts in fault finding and we can investigate and fix any shorting issues.
