TimeClocks

If you are having problems with your timer and we are able to fix it together with your stair light tube replacement you will be charged an additional

£20.00

£40.00 if fixing the timer on its own without tube replacement

We can also supply and install a new astronomical timeclock From £150

Payment to be made in full by point of contact on completion by cash or bank transfer (no cheques)

It is highly recommended to have a working timeclock. You can double the life of the stair light fittings and tubes with a working timeclock

You should have a working timeclock to comply with Edinburgh Council stair lighting regulations as they still pay for your energy. Failure to do so may result in the Council installing a meter and passing on the costs of electricity to the owners

Anchor 9

Starters

If you require the starters to be replaced together with your stair light tube replacements you will be charged an additional

£7.00 to replace both starters (we always replace both starters)

Fuses and Circuit Breakers

If you require a fuse or circuit breaker to be changed together with your stair light tube replacement you will be charged an additional

£15.00 (per Fuse Wire) - £35.00 (per Circuit Breaker) - £50.00 (Main Service Cut Out Fuse)

REPAIRS aND investigations

If you require us to investigate or repair faulty stair light fittings (e.g stair light fitting is hanging off the wall) together our tube/starter replacement service you will be charged at a rate of

£15.00 per 15mins (most issues can usually be resolved within 15 minutes)

Anchor 1

LED Conversion

We supply and install Coughtrie LED Conversions Kits or alternative polycarbonate LED bulkheads to replace your existing fluorescent stair light fittings.

We can also upgrade your fuses with circuit breakers if required (see Blog for examples).*A rewire may be necessary if VIR (Vulcanised Indian Rubber) cable is installed (see pictures below).

Rewires will come with Test Certificate including Insulation Resistance and Earth Loop Impedance
